EDUCATION
Global Resurrection is an organization committed to EDUCATION, preparing our children for the challenges of the future is part of our mission. Our Project Base Learning Initiatives and STEAM enrichment programs expose students to globally fundamental topics such as climate change, food production, the use of alternative energy sources, sustainability, food technologies and renewable energy concepts; climate education is imperative in order to develop green skills, and adapt to the harsh reality of climate change. It is important for young people to take action, that’s why we’ve established strong relationships with Hofstra University, SUNY Farmingdale University, Nassau Community College, the Uniondale School District and Hempstead School District to develop and execute successful STEAM learning initiatives to empower our students. Creating apprenticeships during construction or renovation projects is also important for GR, so young adults could be trained with a skill for future job opportunities. Through these collaborations, GR has implemented Summer Camps and Afterschool STEAM programs with Hempstead School District, P.E.A.C.E Afterschool Program, Freeport Middle School and Nassau Community College for the past 10 years.
Students learn to organize with math, while they research as scientists and historians by using technology, so that they can understand global development and communicate about what is needed, wanted and possible in engineering for universal sustainability.
OUR EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
GR uses Project-Based Learning to immerse students in hands-on, inquiry-driven experiences. These projects focus on:
-
Climate change
-
Food production and food technologies
-
Alternative and renewable energy
-
Sustainability and green skills
This approach helps students connect classroom learning to global challenges, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.

STEAM ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
GR’s STEAM programs are designed to:
-
Foster creativity and innovation through Science, Technology, Engineering, Robotics, Game Coding, Hydroponic Farming, Aquaponics, Arts, and Math.
-
Provide after-school and summer camp opportunities in collaboration with:
-
Hempstead School District
-
Freeport Middle School
-
Nassau Community College
-
P.E.A.C.E Afterschool Program
-
These programs have been running for over 10 years, showing a strong commitment to long-term student development.

APPRENTICESHIPS AND WORKPLACE READINESS
GR also integrates apprenticeship opportunities during construction and renovation projects. This allows young adults to:
-
Gain hands-on experience
-
Learn marketable trade skills
-
Prepare for green jobs and careers in sustainability

STRATEGIC EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
GR collaborates with higher education institutions to enhance program quality and reach:
-
Hofstra University
-
SUNY Farmingdale
-
Nassau Community College
These partnerships help bridge the gap between K-12 education and higher education, offering students exposure to college-level resources and mentorship.

EMPOWER YOUTH FOR CLIMATE ACTION
By embedding climate education into its curriculum, GR ensures students:
-
Understand the urgency of climate change
-
Develop green skills
-
Are empowered to take action in their communities

6E LEARNING BYDESIGN™ MODEL

The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association's STEM Center for Teaching and Learning™ has developed the only standards-based national model for Grades K-12 that delivers technological literacy in a STEM context.

The 6E Learning byDeSIGN™ model will provide teachers and curriculum developers a systematic way to ensure that the T and E of STEM are fully integrated into the classroom. It is a natural unification and integration of Design and Inquiry that builds on the contexts of engineering in ways that maximize the content in both Standards for Technological Literacy and Next Generation Science Standards.

ENGAGE
-
The purpose of the ENGAGE phase is to pique student interest and get them personally involved in the lesson, while pre-assessing prior understanding.

EXPLORE
-
The purpose of the EXPLORE phase is to provide students with the opportunity to construct their own understanding of the topic.

EXPLAIN
-
The purpose of the EXPLAIN phase is to provide students with an opportunity to explain and refine what they have learned so far and determine what it means.

eNGINEER (Extend/Elaborate)
-
The purpose of the EXPLAIN phase is to provide students with an opportunity to explain and refine what they have learned so far and determine what it means.

ENRICH
-
The purpose of the ENRICH phase is to provide students with an opportunity to explore in more depth what they have learned and to transfer concepts to more complex problems.

EVALUATE
-
The purpose of the EVALUATION phase is for both students and teachers to determine how much learning and understanding has taken place.
